Éloge de la fragilité
All theatre, all cinema, all literature, indeed all forms of expression are based on fragility. It is the hidden source driving all our emotions, and all beauty. We should accept it, claim it. Be fragile yet flexible, and be calm in the face of the unknown. We must preserve our fragility in the same way as we must save the useless, because the useless saves us from the simple equation of productivity that rules the world. It provides us with an escape route, our safety exit. Fragility binds us together, whereas strength drives us apart.
